Why Euroland could fall apart in 2005
This article was a real eye opener for me. It never really occurred to me that the European Union's fall from grace might spell the fall of the Euro. Duh! I mean I was there when the whole thing started, you'd think I would remember that it was all about money.
The article I've cited above is from a year ago... I actually just read a new article by this same gentleman that referenced this prediction he made a year ago. But I can't share that with you today because it came through my e-mail inbox as part of my subscription to internationalliving.com, and search as I might it simply hasn't made it onto their website yet. I can't just copy and paste the article as that would be blatant copyright infringement... So I suspect if you give it a day or two and search the IL website for articles by Sven Lorenz, you'll find it. The title is "Death of the Euro".
Immediately I think to myself, "There's money to be made here." But then I remember that (a) I don't have any money to play with, and (b) I haven't a clue how to trade in international currencies. Man it would be cool if I did have a little cash to leverage, though... I'm sure I could find enough information to make a sensible investment in Europe...
