Hackers Tap 40 Million Credit Cards

This article in the LA Times is a must read for anyone with a credit card. The security breaches just keep getting bigger! What I took away from this article was that my credit card company is not going to do anything about fraudulant charges unless I report them. Therefore, I plan to keep a careful eye on my statements, and I suggest you all do the same.

I worry about where this may all lead us. The US Congress is trying to pass legislation to toughen regulations about how personal information is handled, but that worries me too! I'm feeling that old "Big Brother is Watching" sensation. But what's the alternative? Will people never stop trying to steal what belongs to someone else?
